Love them or hate them, the Spike TV Video Game Awards are good for a quite a few things. One of which is marketing down your throat in the case of world premieres. Here's a look at some of the spots that were amongst the VGA highlights.
Studio of the Year winner Rocksteady Studios surprised us all with Batman: Arkham Aslyum. They also kicked off the night by announcing Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 to be released in 2010 through Warner Bros. Interactive. Eidos/Square Enix Europe is apparently not involved this time around.
There will be more Halo. There will always be more Halo. At least with Halo: Reach, so far at least there's excitement without the cynical "expansion pack" criticisms.
No one saw the sucess of the initial Crackdown coming. It of course was the thing you that came with a purchase of the Halo 3 multilplayer beta. This time, it stands completely on it's own and is calling for you to blow @#$$ up. Particularily zombies. I'm so sick of zombies....
Some joked after seeing it of it being Modern Warfare 3. Medal of Honor comes to the modern age and it will be interesting to see what the EA military shooter series bring with a new time and setting.

As I know Rockstar Games' recent release of a 4 minute gameplay video that describes some of their key elements in their game Red Dead Redemption. Those video previews are really good and looking very interesting.
